Over the summer, I was looking for a less sugary cocktail to enjoy by the pool. I love a margarita; however, the pre-mix versions are laden with sugar and often nasty preservatives. I needed to create a version that tasted fantastic and was made with natural ingredients. So here it is, my version of a skinny margarita. Enjoy!

SKINNY MARGARITA

Ingredients
  1. ¼ cup tequila
  2. 1 ½ freshly squeezed lime
  3. 1 freshly squeezed orange
  4. 1 tsp light agave nectar
Instructions
  1. Place all of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake. Serve.
Notes
  1. You can serve with a slice of lime and salt on the rim of the glass. You can also process the ingredients with the ice in a high-speed blender and serve as a frozen margarita.
